The Murfreesboro Police Department's R.A.D. Kids Program is set up to give kids ages 8 - 12 the knowldege and skills to prevent bullying and stay safe — on the Internet, at home, at school or anytime when they're out and about. You can sign up your child for the program this summer.

The R.A.D. Kids training program empowers children and teaches them to replace fear, confusion and panic of dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills and self-esteem. It's a plan against aggression. This popular program fills up fast, so act now. Space is limited to 25 participants each week, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

It takes place at three locations this summer from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.:

  • Sports*Com (June 10 - 14 and July 15 - 19)
  • John Pittard Elementary (June 17 - 21)
  • Scales Elementary (July 8 - 12)

Cost is $25 per child. The program is set up to provide assistance to those families with little or no income. To register, contact Officer Bill Drye at 615-971-6205 or e-mail 0437@murfreesborotn.gov; or Officer Ja Radzinski at 615-962-5535 or e-mail 0685@murfreesborotn.gov.
