Kids with dramatic flair who have a penchant for the stage can hone skills and learn new ones with the series of summer drama camps available at Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT).
NCT’s summer camps run in one-week sessions from May 28 - Aug. 2. The camps take place Mon - Fri 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. with age-specific offerings for ages 4 - 5, 6 - 7, 8 - 10, 11 - 15 and 13 - 18.
From fairytale fun and storybook adventures for the younger set to musical theater and improvisation for older kids, there’s something for all interests and levels. Ages 11 - 18 can participate in specialty camps like stage combat, puppetry, playwriting and more.
Core camps cost $270 per week while musical theater, improv and specialty camps are $290. NCT also offers three-day mini camps for $175 from July 1 - 3. From June 3 - 21, a select amount of camps will take place at Ensworth High School in Bellevue.
Before and after care (supervised, unstructured free-play) is also available for $40 each per week. Before care runs 7:30 - 9 a.m. while after care is from 3 - 5:30 p.m.
