On an 83-acre campus, campers will enjoy nature trails, creek, sports fields, and creative indoor space at Currey Ingram Academy’s two summer camps. Camp Beech Creek at Currey Ingram is a summer camp open to any children in rising kindergarten through sixth-grade. Campers enjoy “make-your- own-morning” elective choices and afternoon weekly themed sessions. While campers can come for the morning or afternoon only, we strongly encourage the full-day Camp Beech Creek experience. The lunch hour is supervised, and lunch can be provided for an additional fee. Before- and after-care are also available. “My daughter did the outdoor survival morning camp as a rising sixth-grader and LOVED it. She still talks about what she learned. As a regular camper at other local programs, the Currey Ingram camps always sat at the very top of her must-do list,” said parent Laura Braam.
The ADHD Summer Treatment Program (STP) at Currey Ingram is for students ages 8-12 with ADHD. This intensive six-week camp runs from June 10-28 and July 8-26. The program is designed like a traditional summer camp with similar activities, but specific skills are being explicitly taught and developed throughout the entirety of the day. Campers will work on social skills, problem-solving, and self-regulation strategies within all camp activities, learning skills and resources that prove beneficial in both the home and school setting. Parents are also required to attend a weekly parent meeting that will provide tangible and transformative information as to how they can best support their child. “I am eternally grateful for the immense improvement we see in my grandson after the summer STP Camp. His success at camp positioned him for even more success at school this year. I highly recommend this program,” said Bess Forshaw.
